"I'm Too Sexy" is the début song by British group Right Said Fred. The single peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. Outside the United Kingdom, "I'm Too Sexy" topped the charts in six countries, including Australia, the Republic of Ireland and the United States. The single equalled the record for the most weeks at number two on the UK Singles Chart without ever topping the chart, staying at number two for six weeks in a row while being famously held off the summit by Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" (this equalled the previous record set by Father Abraham's 1978 hit "The Smurf Song"). The band is considered a one-hit wonder in the United States, their only other charting United States single peaking at No. 76. However, "I'm Too Sexy" was just the act's first of several hits in their native United Kingdom, and they would have a number one single on the UK Singles Chart with "Deeply Dippy" in April 1992. In April 2008, the song was rated No. 49 on "The 50 Worst Songs Ever! Watch, Listen and Cringe!" by ''Blender''. In June 2007, the song was listed as No. 80 on the VH1's ''100 Greatest Songs of the 90s''. In April 2011, it was ranked No. 2 on VH1's ''40 Greatest One-Hit Wonders of the 90s''. ==Content== "I'm Too Sexy" is sung from the point of view of a histrionic-narcissistic male fashion model. The song's lyrics express (over-) confidence that his personal level of sexiness makes him too sexy for numerous things, most notably his shirt ("so sexy it hurts"). The list also includes "my love (love's going to leave me)", "Milan, New York, and Japan", "your party (no way I'm disco dancing)", "my car (too sexy by far)", "my hat (what d'you think about that?)", "my cat (poor pussy... poor pussycat)", and the song itself: "...and I'm too sexy for this song", at which point the song abruptly ends. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「I'm Too Sexy」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
